Telecommunications technology 5th generation (5 g) is referred to as a fusion of all existing wireless technology. This technology is claimed to be the next big revolution that could connect just about anything, ranging from car to robot.
Most industries believed that 5 g will be operated and used in 2020. It is increasingly evident thanks to the presence of trial performed by the vendor, Ericsson telecommunications.
Offered through Fortune, Monday, August 31, 2015, Ericsson are conducting trials of the device 5 g in the streets. Some of the cities that had the privilege of going to trial it was Stockholm, Sweden and Plano, Texas.
This is not the usual mobile devices. Because, even though it has the ability like 4 g Smartphones that are on the market but this device size is very large. In fact it takes a special vehicle to make it move.
This is a device which is still in the trial stage and so the design is not too prominent.Later, these devices will have the same size as a tablet, smartphone or PC.
It is claimed that the device is Ericsson, can operate at speeds of up to 2 Gigabytes per second (Gbps) or faster 10 fold compared to 4 g technology which is only capable of up to 200 Mbps.
"Basically is just, how we can create a system that could connect all the devices in a speed of 10 to 20 Mbps. But that should concern not only the speed but related to what can be done 5 g but can not be done in 4 g," said Ericsson, technology researcher Hakan Andersson.
Researchers at the GSM Association (GSMA) also questioned the same thing. They're figuring out what opportunities and weaknesses that need to be mapped in the tech industry 5 g. Along with the search technical standard 5 g, is expected to be the final standards are summarized in 2019.
